CSR / Our Corporate Social Responsibility Commitment

Driven by a strong commitment to responsible business practices, Freshpack has implemented a voluntary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach.
The deployment of our CSR strategy focuses on promoting and continuously improving issues related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the ISO 26000 standard.

Since 1982, responsibility, quality and transparency have been at the core of our strategy. Our ambition is to offer safe, sustainable and fully traceable frozen products, meeting the requirements of retail chains, wholesalers, foodservice professionals and industrial clients.

Our CSR approach is assessed and recognised by EcoVadis, confirming the robustness and continuous improvement of our social, environmental and ethical commitments.

Our 7 CSR pillars

1.

Responsible governance

We are committed to building strong, transparent and ethical governance, ensuring consistency in decision‑making and the effective implementation of our CSR approach.

Our governance is based on clear leadership, regular monitoring of performance indicators and a continuous improvement mindset.

2.

Responsible sourcing & ethical partnerships

Our responsible purchasing policy prioritises partners certified SEDEX or BSCI.

81.3% of volumes sourced from high‑risk areas originate from socially certified supply chains (AMFORI classification).

We maintain long‑term partnerships built on loyalty, transparency and mutual respect, supported by annual assessments incorporating our CSR requirements.

3.

3. Safe, healthy & authentic products

Our entire range is 100% palm oil‑free, MSG‑free and GMO‑free.
We have been IFS Broker High Level certified since 2017, and also hold MSC, ASC, Organic and Label Rouge certifications, guaranteeing quality, food safety and product authenticity.

We co‑develop our recipes with suppliers to meet the strictest specifications, particularly for retail, foodservice and industrial customers.
Since our first IFS Broker audit in 2017, we have renewed our certification every year at the highest level.

In 2025, Freshpack successfully renewed its IFS Broker certification with a score of 99.5/100.
Our quality approach also includes a food fraud prevention plan, ensuring product authenticity, traceability and regulatory compliance across our entire portfolio.

Finally, for our own brand En’Joy, dedicated to the retail market, the Nutri‑Score is systematically displayed on packaging, ensuring clear and transparent consumer information.

4.

Reducing our environmental impact

Freshpack actively works to reduce its environmental footprint, both locally and throughout its import operations :

  • reduction of plastic in packaging,
  • logistics optimisation with maritime carbon compensation,
  • biodiversity preservation through MSC and ASC certifications,
  • implementation of a zero‑pesticide policy at our head office.

Our objective is to offer responsibly sourced products with reduced carbon impact, while preserving marine resources.

5.

Local roots & territorial partnerships

Historically based in Saint‑Martin‑Boulogne (France), Freshpack continues to invest in and support its local territory.
We actively support local partners and carry out solidarity actions benefiting local associations.

6.

Respect des droits humains & qualité de vie au travail

Respect for human rights & quality of working life

Our teams work in a safe, inclusive and caring environment.
Health, safety and social dialogue are key priorities for management, with concrete commitments to ensure a respectful, balanced and supportive workplace.
